the adult bore

Posted in thought spills by enisea on 05/10/2011

If we’re told that babies are multisensory learners, and that children must be taught things in hands-on and applicable ways; if methods for teaching high school kids are to appeal to their strengths, to present a range of opportunities and to be creative; if all of this justification and reasoning has been researched to be only beneficial to its recipients, and that we as human beings need to be engaged in as many ways as possible, not merely for taking advantage of optimal learning experiences or for our entertainment, but for overall health and wellbeing… what on earth made us think that adults could manage a boring life?

Obviously, I’ve just indulged in TEDtalks.

…also possessed by the sudden urge to own a klein bottle.
